About this card
"Tulip Basket" was made in early spring, with the first willow catkins already on the table. The card is close to C6 format (about 11.5 × 16 cm / 4.5 × 6.3 in). 3D risers separate the layers — the composition stands a good centimetre proud of the base, yet the card stays surprisingly rigid and stable. The base is hand-scored from heavyweight paper; layer after layer — scrapbooking papers, chipboard, die-cut ornaments — went on until the composition settled into a single scene. The interior has a light insert for a dedication; on request I will write it for you and post the card straight to the recipient. A genuine one-of-one: the same composition will never be made twice.
